Starting November 2020, Arlpwe Art and Culture Centre will be proposing a series of workshops open to community members and visitors. Facilitated by Arlpwe artists, these workshops aim to give everyone the opportunity to discover Aboriginal art practices and the culture behind it. The general public will get an insight into the everyday life of Arlpwe artists. They will be offered support on a personnal project and the opportunity to participate in community art activities.

ARLPWE BOOK OF COLOURS

Arlpwe Artists invite you to participate in a big community art project. The Arlpwe Book of Colours is an art-research project on the perception of colours in contemporary Aboriginal Art. During each session, Arlpwe Artists will work with you on a specific theme (red dust, desert flowers, skylight, bushseeds, waterhole, etc.). We will mix acrylic paint and explore combinations of colours. With the use of photographs and memories, we will collect the colours of the desert.
