Collection: Sarah Holmes Nabangardi

Sarah Holmes Nabangardi is a Warlpiri Woman who has been living in Ali Curung, a small community at the foot of Iytwelepenty (the Davenport Ranges), since she was a child. She learned knowledge of local bush foods and medicines, traditional life and Warlpiri culture from her family at an early age, knowledge which says informs her painting practice to this day. Sarah took up painting in 2011, joining the Arplwe Art and Culture Centre and has since experimented with an array of styles and techniques.
