Rosieanne Holmes Napanangka/Ngwarreye

Rosieanne Holmes Napanangka was born in Warrabri/ Ali Curung. She grew up in Ali Curung and attended the local school. She temporarily relocated to Murray Downs, where she started her painting career. In 1982, she and her family settled back in her birthplace. Growing up, Rosie watched her mother and  grandmother paint. They taught her about country through painting and collecting bush tucker on traditional land.
